Two folks asked about my hair when I tweeted about it. Here ya go. This is from about two weeks ago. It’s pushed back with bobby pins since nothing else will hold it down. I’ll post my current hair care process (which is actually really short) when I have more time.
I took this pic with my fairly new Canon S5 IS, which I can’t figure out. Sorry about the graininess.

Loving the afro.
@Adrianne - > Thanks.:-)
Fierce! Goodness your hair does grow really fast!
@mrembo -> Yeah, like weeds.:-)
You look beautiful Rashunda :-) I wish I were that photogenic!
@Andrea -> Thanks, but I think the graininess works wonders. Sort of like that Barbara Walters / New Madonna video effect.:-)
Your fro looks fierce. One day I have will have a fro again, this pregnancy and this baby has kicked my butt … so much so I stopped taking care of my afro and let it fall into disrepair. I am now konking my hair. I now I’m going to go back natural… probably when I develop a routine with my little one - whenever she decides to get here. : )
@E! - > Preganancy?!
Yeah, we finally have a little one on the way. The doctors say “it’s a girl”. That made me so happy, but then I was sad because I said if I had a little girl, I’d want her to see me with my natural hair - so she would be proud of her own hair. So, eventually I’m going to let this perm grow out and go back to being natural. I’m not doing the big chop any more though, I’m too old for that. Once you get 35, your hair doesn’t grow as fast as it used to… well in my case, because your hair is growing fabulously!
@E! -> Congrats! Another diva on the way!:-)
