Will all the pundits STHU now?

Maybe it was this video I watched of Obama’s “victory speech” in Iowa that gave me the willies. Through all of the rhetoric, the Baptist-minister cadence, the dramatic pauses and the pats on the back, I kept saying to myself “Dude, it’s not over.”

And when I read all of the glowing news reports about Obama’s “victory” in Iowa, I kept saying to myself “Y’all, it’s not over.”

Well, we now know it’s not. And I hope Clinton’s win in New Hampshire will teach everyone, especially the journalists who fell under the spell of Obamamania, that jumping on the bandwagon can be a dangerous thing….especially if you miss your mark and get run over.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the guy. And, as I said in my previous post, I’m really trying to find something to hold to in his campaign. But it was this exact speech that told me he’s just doesn’t get it.

I hate to say this, but I think John Edwards will be the sleeper. Obama and Clinton are so busy striking at each other that I’m afraid John may squeek in by the time the Democratic convention is completed.

I can’t decide who to vote for… I like the top three Dems about equally well. Or rather, I like different things about each one. And the top Repubs are all equally scary!

Comments are already closed on that older post and I didn’t get back before now, but… yeah. You had to make a $25 contribution to Obama just to hear him speak. I think they all do it now but it’s still disappointing to me. Of course he’s the only Dem who’ll even come to Alabama, so I have to give him points for that I guess.
