Let’s hear it for my mom.

Mom took Dad to the neurologist to have some tests done on him. Dad was having trouble walking (more than the “normal” trouble he has) and had resorted to leaning on walls, etc.

The neurologist ran tests on Dad and told him and Mom to come back the next week. My mom said that that wasn’t good enough, that she needed to know what was up asap.

The doc told her to come back next week.

Mom told him that if he didn’t give her the results that day, she’d take Dad to the ER. The doc told her to take him if that’s what she wanted to do.

She did.

The ER docs found that dad was having a brain hemorrhage. They drilled hole in his head and got the blood out.

Dad’s in intensive care. I’m going home. I’ll be back in a few days.

And I hope I don’t run into that neurologist.

  5. We went through a similar ordeal in October when my wife suffered acute kidney failure. She saw the doctor on Monday, he said go home and take some antibiotics. On Tuesday we went to the emergency room where she received proper attention and treatment. Good luck and God Bless!

I just spoke to Rashunda’s mother, on the phone. (I was their veterinarian before I ran away to Canada.) Rashunda’s father is doing a little better, conscious and eating today. She said his spirits were lifted because Rashunda and her sister have both been at the hospital all day.

    They are some powerful women.
