The Week Ahead Spread

I passed my TABI tarot exam. That’s one huge weight off of my shoulders. Don’t let the adage “anything worth getting ain’t free” fool you. The course is ruuuuf.

I have been doing some readings for a few folks. (Insert deity here) bless folks who love being guinea pigs.

Just for the record I believe that the (T)tarot is like a mirror. It reflects your situation and hopefully gives you the clarity you need to make a decision. It does *not* make the decision for you.

Yeah, I know I did a reading about Jacko’s case but that was for class.

I spent most of the weekend on the couch and on the floor meditating, gathering stength to manage my perpetually heavy schedule. Hopefully things will lighten in a few weeks. I also did a three card reading using my Morgan Greer deck. I came up with the spread myself.

The Week Ahead Spread

Card layout: 1 2 3
1. What lies ahead.
2. What to watch out for.
3. How to best handle the week’s stressful situations.

Card 1 - Strength

The Strength card shows a dainty looking woman gently prying open the mouth of a lion. In short, the card represents persuading, being an indirect guide, dealing calmly with frustration, etc.

What lies ahead.

There will be some challenges ahead that will require me to enact “quiet diplomacy”.

Card 2 - The Chariot

The main gist of the Chariot is control, domination and beating the competition. The card shows this by the scene on it, a man in a chariot pulled by two horses. He has a tight grip on the reins.

What to watch out for.

This card is in direct opposition to the Strength card. I have a tendency to go forward with both barrels blazing. Perhaps I should use that tendency 80% of the time this week instead of the normal 95%.:-)

Card 3 - Two of Pentacles

An elegantly dressed man juggles two large coins with ease. The ocean is at his back as a ship sails in slightly choppy seas. The picture on Two of Pentacles card represents balance and having fun.

How to best handle the week’s stressful situations.

Oh, this is just toooo obvious.:-)
