Via Mac-a-ro-nies comes this tidbit:
“People have called the iPod many things. Insanely great. The Rolls Royce of MP3 players. The product that has best exploited and popularized FireWire, an innovation byApple Computer. But, one adjective that has not been applied to the iPod is cheap. That may be about to change.”
According to reports, Apple is coming out with a low-end iPod that will go for about USD 100.00 (CHF 125.00). About damned time I say…but that still doesn’t mean I’m buying one. CHF 125.00 can pay a few bills.
I’ve been perusing Apple sites trying to catch up on the MacWorld gossip. I really hope the folks at Spymac.com are right about the AppleWorks speculation. Even though I love Apple, it seems as if the company sometimes forgets about those of us who don’t use the “bell and whistle” type offerings. I’ve yet to iPhoto more than twice, I haven’t touched iMovie and I’ll be doggone if I’m paying USD 99.95 for .Mac (which I still don’t understand the gist of).
Not Mac related but still interesting: From Wired.com…
